Hello all.
Once again, I would like to emphasize the importance of Relay Leaders, and Relay Members.

Relay leaders, it is your duty to inform your members about the message that is being circulated around because some of it contain important messages that needs to get to your own classmates urgently. So do exercise your duty well and do not shirk responsibilities. As I have said before, if you have any controversies, do inform me so that I can make appropriate changes to the system.

Relay members, if you know that there is a relay message being circulated, do pester your relay leader for it, instead of asking it from me, BECAUSE point1: What are the relay leaders for? I might as well send the messages to all 22 of you, point 2: There are still other relay members who are unaware of the message, so your relay leader is there for that purpose, to inform ALL OF YOU about it.

So responsibilities need to be adhered to for the class to function properly and to minimise miscommunication. Please do not selfish and think only about benefitting yourself. Thank you all.

JOYCE.

Adding on to what nat mentioned
Tuesday, August 12, 2008

Hi Everyone!

Aft reading nat's post,i hav a very strong feeling tt i must address. You guys know that it's not very often i blog here coz' of all e busy council wk i hav to do ya..but today,i decided to take some time off to blog about tis becoz' u guys mean so much to me:)

Well,to add on to wat nat had posted previously,i know tt all of us r under alot of stress right now esp during tis period of time with promos cming out n i also understand how hard it is to juggle our studies n other committments.Sometimes,it just make u want to puke n ask for 1 week break to recharge n finish watever tut tt u'd not done ya?or mb sometimes we juz wish tt e lecturer can go slower or even hope tt all of us can hav the superpower of 'not slping n do hw' spirit.Sadly,tt's quite impossible.

Because of these work, because of our busy schedule,we really hav no choice but to make sacrifices.I dun mind telling all of u tt i used to be the sort of person who want to oversee everything,in another words,i dun trust my team members to do their parts..but pw really teaches me wat teamwk is all about. It is such a brain racking journey tt really push everyone of us to e limits,n to complete tis enormous task,it takes everyone in the team to knock their heads together n crtically think about the project.Unlike other council events, project wk is a yr long committment tt require every member of the team to cm together despite our differences and contribute, improving our project step by step, together as a team.Notice tt i didn't use the word 'group' but 'team'.Hope u know understand wat i'm trying to mean overhere:)

So,here's one trick.rmb tis whenever u hav probs wif yr team:

'EVERYONE IS SIGNIFICANT IN A TEAM!'

With Love,
Steph

Hey people!

Just here to share some of my thoughts and I hope it'll make a difference!Well.. from what I saw today, after what Mr Mok mentioned about WR, many of us looked pretty demoralised. Saw many worried and worn-out faces.. After all that has happened today, I've really learnt many valuable lessons. PW is definitely not simply a work-based project but also one that develops our character. Perseverance is no doubt required as it is a yr long project. And throughout the course of this year, I hope we'll learn how to take initiatives, to put others before self and to build up our team.

We all take the same subject combination and we all have the same workload, meaning we're equally busy. When we've completed our parts, let us learn how to take the initiative to help our group members who are struggling, to learn to offer to help to compile the work and not just leave it to one person. Afterall, you all are a group! To learn to put others before self, not concentrating on how much you've done but to learn to think of how you are able to contribute as much as you can to your group to further improve your project. But of course, each of us should not be free riders but fulfil our responsibilities as group members to complete our task. At the same time, if you feel too much pressure and stress, learn to speak up to ask for help and not suppress your feelings and take it all upon yourself. Communication works both ways. Only through proper communication will we be able to build up our team and learn to work better with one another. Like steph said, "We ought to iron things out by talking about the problems we face and finding solutions to them."

To have come so far, much perseverance was definitely needed. We have already gone through 3/4 of our PW journey and we've survived! So let us persevere for the remaining 1/4 and run the race before us well and i say we do this, not as individuals but as a class. Encourage one another and build each other up for "united we stand, divided we fall."This post may sound really cliche to some of you but it's really something we ought to ponder about and I hope it'll help our class in some way or another. press on 31/08! we can do it! P.S I'm mentioning things in general, do not take offence anyone!

Anyway, I'll let the photos do the summary. It's really fun cause there's just so much to see and do. But for the photos, so we'll just show you everything (like 500++ more. heh.) when we get back.
