Hello all, I just received another email by the Singapore Children's Society. But this is not applicable to us because it cannot accommodate to 23 of us. So I'm just sending this to all of you incase you require these opportunities for NYAA.

"Dear Joyce,

I have the following vacancies:

I am looking for 2 groups of about 5 volunteers (not more than 5), preferably JC or poly students who can commit to more than a year of service in our Sunbeam Friend's Club on either Week 2 or Week 3 of every month from about 1.30pm to 4pm. They will help to plan, organise, conduct and facilitiate our Week 2 programme (Sports and games) or Week 3 programme (Ad-hoc or Special projects such as workshop, talks, science experiments, etc.)

Do let me know if you and your friends are keen. Thank you!

Regards,
Jean Cai
Corporate Relations Executive
Children's Society"

Other than that, as I've mentioned before, there is the student care centre at henderson (bukit merah, redhill/tiong bahru area) where we can tutor the students english, math, mother tongue and science, (age of the students not specified) and the only available timing which we can commit is saturday 9am to 10am.
It's just for one hour so it's a very very good deal man! Any commitments on that day, you all can just like miss your commitments for a few hours. And the minimum volunteering duration is 6months, so it's cool.

Any violent + relevant objections, do inform me by this sunday if not i'll be informing SCS about it. So far Gracehaven haven't replied my mail.

If you strongly agree to this, you all may inform me as well so that I know that I'M NOT TALKING TO THE WALL.

JOYCE.

PS, I SENT TO YOUR MAIL TOO! :D

Hello 31/08.

This wednesday during our 8.45am break, we'll be having econs makeup tutorial to better prepare us for the upcoming test this friday. Venue is 1025.

Do take note that for your wednesday econs lecture, you'll have to prepare case study in your skills package pg 14 to 16. At least until b).

For econs test:
For data analysis, be very familiar with the materials taught in the skills package case study part pg 1 to 12. Market failure focus on understanding how to explain how market failure arises from either positive or negative externalities using diagrams.

And I sent a message on this via relay system, but I apparently heard that many people didn't receive it. I mean all of us are classmates, so it's very very important that one fulfills your responsiblity/duty in informing the rest of your group in the relay system. If you find it strenuous and do not want to pass it down, it's also YOUR responsibility to ask another person from your group to help take over your duties.
Yeah, in future I can foresee that messaging via the relay system will be a very crucial mode of communication among all of us so it's better for you all to start getting used to it and heed it if not it'll be super unfair for those classmates who don't receive any information on tests/assignments/tutorials/lectures etc.

If you all think that it's super unfair for me to ask you all to send the messages to a group of 3/4, then I can PROBABLY edit the relay system like after each term so that everybody has their share to contribute. Other than that, do put yourself in our shoes, like people who needs to send to 5 people each time an information is received from the teachers.

JOYCE.
